Ride nights! Every Tuesday night we depart from Redstreak Motors at 6pm for a nice backroad cruise to a destination decided weekly by the riders! What a great way to break up the week!
The MA Registry of Motor Vehicles will now be using a web based system for all MA motorcycle safety inspections. This means that if you have outstanding fees of any kind the RMV will not issue you an inspection sticker. The fee for an inspection sticker will be collected before inspection process during data entry. The fee will not be refunded upon rejection. If rejected, you will receive a printed receipt giving you 20 days to have the failing issue corrected and a free retest. After 20 days you will be charged another fee if re-tested. Here are some suggestions to help quicken the process:
Make sure to have current and matching registration to motorcycle (copies accepted).
Prior to beginning inspection, do a visual check of the motorcycle to determine that under-inflated tires, condition of suspension and other conditions visible to the inspector will not impede or interfere with the proper aiming of headlamps.
In order to proceed with inspection, a properly functioning side stand or center stand must be able to support the weight of the motorcycle while wheels, front end and swing arm are examined.
Passenger foot rests should be put in an upright stored position, if possible, to prevent interference with the inspection.
We will also do a pre-inspection of the bike to determine any issues such as bald tires, loud exhaust, and broken levers or mirrors. If any of these conditions exist, you will be turned away.
